Jamison's Bio
Jamison Weiner has been a licensed broker for over 25 years. He has founded several retail and commercial real estate brokerage firms in New York City. Jamison has expreience in representing some of the largest owner/developers in NYC as well as some of the largest companies seeking space as a tenant rep broker. Jamison has worked on numerous development site assemblages, sold air rights and has financed many real estate transactions by arranging structured debt and equity for his clients.
Jamison has also developed and redeveloped properties in New York City. Since 2000 Jamison has acted as a fee developer, a joint venture partner and has been the sponsor of a condominium development.
Jamison grew up in a real estate family where his late father, Joel David Weiner, built dozens of commercial properties and shopping centers across the Midwest. Joel went on to form Related Retail with Stephen Ross, his lifelong friend.
Jamison learned about real estate development at the dining room table at a very young age. Just about any time he was away from school and sports Jamison accompanied his father on business trips. Jamison benefited tremendously from spending a significant amount of time with his father as well as Stephen Ross in both personal and professional settings – receiving mentorship from industry icons. While at Related Retail, Joel built seven properties throughout the East Coast primarily in the Tri-State area.
Jamison started his career at The Related Companies in 1994 where he worked for Related Retail developing and leasing shopping centers throughout the New York Metropolitan area on the same team his father had founded. Jamison eventually moved to the New York Development Division of Related where he worked on the acquisition of new development sites in Manhattan – working directly under Stephen Ross and Jeff Blau. In early 2000, Jamie left The Related Companies L.P. and started his journey as a real estate entrepenuer. The journey continues.
